Rest In Peace Steve ‘Jesse’ James

It was with great sadness that last week we lost one of our oldest colleges and friends Steve ‘Jesse’ James.

Steve had worked for Port Express for over 14 years, and I had personally known and worked with Steve for over 30 years at various other companies. Steve was a great guy, he had an old school work ethic and was a company man through and through.

He took great pride in his work and always wanted to do the very best that he could to represent both himself, and the company, in the highest manner possible – A true knight of the highways.

Steve had been battling with cancer for just over a year. During this time, for as much as possible, he remained upbeat, positive, and focused, wanting to make the most of his time with his wife Christine and son Nathan.

Steve will be greatly missed by all of us here and everyone associated with Port Express. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family.

RIP Steve, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten.

-Karl Dawson, Managing Director
