Anne Takes On Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge
65 year-old Anne Modder is taking on a cycling challenge in September to ride 485 kilometers in 7 days, which will take her through Vietnam and into Cambodia.
Anne decided to take on the incredible journey to help raise funds for the charity Young Lives Vs Cancer, who provided incredible support for her Grandson Archie.
The cause is very close to our hearts as Archie is also the nephew of Port Express’s Managing Director James Watts, and was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.
James has witnessed first hand what great work the charity has done supporting his brother, Archie, and the rest of the family during an incredibly difficult time.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
Young Lives vs Cancer, helps families to find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. Every day 12 children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer.
Thankfully, Archie’s prognosis is good right now, but there will always be a high risk that it could return.
Our aim is to help promote Anne’s fundraising effort and the charity itself. If anybody would like to find out more about the challenge, or even spare a few pounds to help support this very worthy cause, then please follow the link HERE.
