Rail Strike May Impact Transport
As things stand, rail workers within the RMT Union are set to strike on three days this month, which will likely have an impact on UK container transport.
Industrial action is currently planned on the 21st, 23rd and 25th June, and while only 10-12% of UK transport moves by rail, the lack of train movement may add additional strains to road capacity.
These actions may have a bearing on container transport on the strike days and perhaps the days before and after. Therefore, our advice is to book early, or maybe consider prepositioning where possible.
