Felixstowe Set To Strike Again
Felixstowe dock workers have served two weeks notice of their intention to hold a second strike, which will commence on 27th September and run for eight days.
The action now coincides with the walk out at Liverpool which is due to commence on 19th September, but for two weeks. The workers from both ports are represented by the Unite trade union, who have declined all previous offers of wage increases from port management.
It is understood that bosses at Felixstowe decided to implement their pay offer of 7% + £500 last week, without any agreement with union leaders.
